Not long ago I was in Las Vegas for an International Industry Convention, and I asked a question, which was apparently, a pretty good question, shop-swimmingpool but not too common. The person running the booth asked if he could video tape the question and answer session for their company’s website? At first, I was taken aback, but then thought, what the heck, sure I told him.
I then repeated the question for the camera, this time putting a little more emphasis on it and explaining why this was a huge problem in the industry and why a solution was needed. Boy, qau they just ate that up, a perfect lead in as the person manning the booth, an engineer and spokesman for the company answered the question with strength of character and conviction in his voice.
I think asked a follow-up question and they just kept the tape running, animeloved so I asked another one after that, then another. Fifteen minutes later, they said; “wow, thanks, would you like to meet all of us after the show for drinks and dinner is on us!” Sure, that would be great. Turns out, I ended up giving them permission to use my video clip for their CD ROM, their website and various future promotional material. So, it got me thinking what a smart idea to help boost your company’s digital marketing efforts. Why not do the same thing that this company did to me. I must say, I viewed the whole thing later and it was rather convincing and with a just a little digitizing they were able to edit the background noise out and adjust the lighting. It’s pretty cool, so think on this.
